celebrity naked 2012
Naked and Famous Denim are making waves across the denim world with brilliant designs and a tongue-in-cheek, almost badass aesthetic. This attitude comes across in their company name, which is a satirical poke at the celeb-infatuated culture of today that buys expensive jeans simply because they are endorsed by big names. The company logo is reminiscent of 1950`s Pop-Art, depicting the 'ideal blond' as a satire of mass media and mass culture. A local comic book illustrator was hired to draw it and it is reminiscent of golden age romance comics. Naked & Famous Denim as a brand, go against everything that is wrong with the designer denim industry. Instead of selling glamour and celebrity culture, their primary focus is to produce better jeans for a better price.
Naked and Famous Denim are proud of the fact that they never pay for advertising. This means unlike mass market Hollywood brands, they don't have to factor multi-million dollar ad campaigns into their product cost. The brand like to maintain personal relationships and only work directly with their retailers. They currently sell to over 25 countries directly from the head office in Canada. During sourcing and production, only the most unique and rare denim fabrics from Japan are used. The prestigious mill, from Naked & Famous Denim import all of their fabric, is committed to producing only the best and most expensive denim in the world. Throughout each step in denim production, the mill uses a combination of old school and modern methods to weave, dye and finish. So much culture and history is poured into the fabric so that it can be appreciated by the denim purist. After the denim is produced, it is imported into Canada where production takes place.
All Naked and Famous jeans are kept raw and simple. There are no fancy washes, no heavy embroidery bits and no gimmicks. These jeans are simply made from the best fabric in the world combined with modern fits. As the brand eliminate these costly and perhaps unnecessary after-effects, true denim fans and consumers alike can enjoy these special fabrics for a smaller price.
In the label's short but productive lifespan, collections have featured dozens of selvedge denim fabrics along with blended fabrics like Kevlar denim, cashmere denim, silk denim and camel hair denim. While perfecting their product, Naked and Famous have toyed with right-hand twill, left-hand twill and broken twill denim as well as chambrays, dobby cloths, and plenty more. Their experienced patternmakers exhausted regular cut models and have created several modern fits for men and women. The brand currently offer three men's fits and four ladies styles. Although the primary focus of the brand is the denim, they also offer clothing such as shirts, belts and knitwear. At the head of the company sits owner and founder Brandon Svarc, a self confessed nerd whose family have been in the clothing industry for almost 60 years. Brandon can still recall playing in the warehouse amidst tons of boxes of jeans and belives that denim is in his blood. The brand's parent company was founded by Brandon's grandfather and growing up he always knew he would end up in the apparel industry.
Naked and Famous Denim as a brand is growing quickly and are constantly expanding their product line and reach. The company already sell to prestigious stores all over the world and have recently expanded further outside the strongest markets of the USA, Canada and Japan. This is an innovative company which manages to produces jeans that anyone can wear and denimheads can talk for hours about.
